Make and Take Salsa Garden in an Apple Crate

  • Red Wagon Plants 2408 Shelburne Falls Road Hinesburg United States (map)

*We will be rescheduling these on a case by case basis. If you have signed up for one of these classes, please check your email for more information.*

Here is an easy way to grow the ingredients for your own fresh salsa even if you don't have much room to garden. If you have a sunny spot outdoors, you can grow your own tomatoes, peppers, scallions, and cilantro - then you'll just need to add salt and lime juice. We will have lots of hot and sweet peppers to choose from as well as a few tomato varieties that do well in containers. And we will provide you with simple instructions for staking, pruning, watering, and fertilizing.

The wooden crate we use is about a bushel in size, and is made right here in Hinesburg by Clifford Lumber. This is a practical and easy way to grow your own food!

Workshop registration fee is $50; please pre-register below.
